Good IF you don't have the other books already

Well I made the mistake of buying this blindly without looking at the description because I have the 3 other books.

This book is a COLLECTION of the other photos from the other 3 books, and does NOT have a CD like the other books.

Don't get me wrong, I love the other 3 books, and I draw from them all the time. I actually use the CDs way more than the actual books however.

I would get this book if you are new to Scalera's photo reference books, and you are fine with images just in the book.

Great Book - Not For Kindle App

This book is great for pose reference. I found it in the store, I loved the information provided in it as well as the photographs of different poses/emotions/actions however I was disappointed when I downloaded it for my kindle app. I tried it on my galaxy tablet as well as my samsung phone and both devices did not have the beautiful HD pictures found in the book. I was really excited to have it on my tablet instead of the bound book because 1) the weight of the book is colossal in itself and 2) I'd figure my tablet would make it easier to actually look at the pictures... Unfortunately when you flip through the book the pictures are small and double tapping them brings up a pixelated version of what looked lovely in the store.

Rating 4 out of 5 stars because this IS a great book... I will re-purchase the physical copy but the sheer weight of it is something that will make me keep it at home. I refunded my digital copy because the details an artist may look for in this book do not transfer well in to a digital copy. I HIGHLY SUGGEST purchasing the physical copy although it is slightly more expensive and weighs a ton.

Kindle quality laughable

I wish I could un-buy this. The images are probably 1/2 quality of the 'look inside' preview given by Amazon. And there's NO way to zoom in or get it better quality!! Zooming with your browser just makes the images super pixelated. DO NOT BUY FOR KINDLE.

I would consider buying the book in physical copy because the references (look) like they'd be good if they were big and high quality, but I feel so ripped off that I probably won't.

DON'T BUY IT.

About the Author

Sherianna Boyle is a former school psychologist and presently works as an instructor at Cape Cod Community College. She is the author of five books and has contributed to more than thirty published articles She has been featured in Psychology Today, Psych Central, and Mantra Yoga + Health magazine, and her book The Four Gifts of Anxiety was endorsed by the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She has a local television show called Thriving from Anxiety and a flourishing Choosing Love community page on Facebook. Sherianna's most prominent work is as an energy practitioner, servicing clients with histories of anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. She has been teaching yoga/mediation for fourteen years. A Wonderful Book About Finding Your Inner Love for You

I am a self-help book junkie and was a bit worried when I saw the title of Sherianna Boyle's book "Choosing Love". I was hoping it wasn't going to be a book about how to find the right person to give your love to. But it was...the difference is that it was about choosing to love yourself. I breathed a sigh of relief. My other worry was that it would be a book telling me what to do. Again, I was so relieved to find that Ms. Boyle put her heart and soul in the book and shared her painful past to help make the wonderful points in the book about how you can let go and give into a mindful love of both yourself and others.

For example, when Ms. Boyle is talking about past hurt memory scars or "bones" as she calls them, she eloquently writes: "You may think you need to dig around to find which bones you've hidden in your yard. However, that is not the case. Your bones are always reflected in your actions, behavior, and speech."

It was so easy to understand what the author was saying and I found myself shaking my head YES, while reading much of the book. But the author really comes to life on the page when sharing her own stories about growing up in an emotionally charged household, stories of her brothers problems with drugs, and her relationships with her family.

In one particularly powerful story, Ms. Boyle shares how one of her children was being bullied and instead of running into the school yelling and upset, she stops and looks inward first. She writes: "Choosing love is not always a solution, but it's a way to give yourself space and time to gather your energy." Again, it's a book not about finding love, but about changing choices we make and finding the inner love that is in all of us.

I read the book in one sitting. Each page and shared story were easy for me to relate to and, in many cases, right on point. If you are looking for a book about how to find the perfect relationship with another person, this book probably isn't it. What it is, is a book about how to find a loving relationship with yourself. This is no easy feat to read or write about and Ms. Boyle offers helpful advice and stories to guide you on your journey to choosing to love yourself, and through that, the ability to better love others.

This book is well written and very easy to read, the tips and information in this book is very powerful! If you've ever struggled with love in your life you will find this book to be very helpful. You can tell that the author has done her research, it's a complete resource and I will refer back to it for a very long time. You will want to have your highlighter ready when reading.

Great educational tool! End boys mutilation!

Very interesting read! I am intact and this helps me point out how important the foreskin is and how it's not extra skin. I show it to my expecting parents and helps me educate them about the foreskin and it's purpose. It helps in busting myths about the foreskin too. One parent somehow came to believe that his son would get HIV/AIDS if he wasn't circumcised! Apparently the doctors misconstrued information to her. Thankfully she's my friend and listened to me. The kid is now ten years old and has no issue whatsoever! Every expectant parent has decided to not mutilate their baby son! Some even wished they had theirs. Hey, "If it ain't broken, why mess with it?!" DOCTORS ENCOURAGE CIRCUMCISION TO MAKE MONEY!!! YES, THEY GET PAID EXTRA FOR THE SURGERY! THEN THE HOSPITAL, OR DOCTOR, SELLS ( S E L L S) THE FORESKIN! Barbaric!

I would have given it 5 and 1/2 stars, if it wasn't for ...

Being a single father of eight children and juggling two jobs can be challenging; let alone to read a book. But my friend recommended this book and I totally ate it up. Yum yum yum. I had fun reading this book. It was entertaining, smart and full of good humor. The way it was written really drew me into the story. I could not put it down.

Excellent story with a strong and well thought character base. The dialogue was very good. Felt as if you could picture being there in the scenes. The book had me hooked. Was exciting to read and kept my attention throughout the Nation's journey. Bayani paints a clear picture for the reader to enjoy. This story was definitely worth the time to read. I would like to see a sequel in the near future. I highly recommend this reading.

I loved the book! I couldn't put it down. It had me from the begining. It was Creative, funny and very well written. While I have been to some of these places mentioned in the book I could picture most of the scenes out and it made it enjoyable to read the book. I would recommend this book to whoever is looking for a fun, entertaing read. I hope there are more books to come!
