About the Author
Trevor M Letcher is Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is a past Director of the International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics and his research involves the thermodynamics of liquid mixtures and energy from landfill. He was awarded the South African Chemical Institute’s Gold medal in 1999 and in 2000 he was awarded the South African Gold medal by the South African Association for the Advancement of Science. He has published over 250 papers in peer review journals and has edited, co-edited and written eleven books in his research and related fields. His latest books include Unraveling Environmental Disasters (2012), Materials for a Sustainable Future (2012), Waste (2011), Heat Capacities (2010), Climate Change (2009) and Future Energy (2008).

His leisure activities involve regular hikes with the Mendip Ramblers, woodwork (long case clocks) and wood turning, gardening at home and on his allotment, theatre, reading and playing golf.

This novella is a great addition to the Kismet & Devereux Series

INITIAL THOUGHTS
I think its fair to say I approached this novella with fairly high expectations after having read some of Lynda's other novellas and book one and two in the series too. Having loved all so far I did expect a certain level of romance with some humour thrown in too.

MY REVIEW
I purchased and downloaded an e-copy of this one from Amazon.co.uk.
So the book begins with Kismet and Devereux up close and personal in a rather deluxe sounding coffin. Apparently Kismet had wondered what it was like to be inside a coffin and of course Devereux instantly indulges her curiosity.
Devereux is in his own style romancing and courting Kismet. He desperately wants her to trust him and is hinting he will tell her much more about himself very soon. Devereux has also been tied up with work a lot recently so had decided to whisk Kismet away with him to send some quality time together and is keeping the destination a "surprise".
Two of Devereux's "off spring" want to meet Kismet, they are old, old vampires with a kind of slapstick comedy thing going on with each other. though they do take things a little too far and end up seriously scaring Kismet much to Devereux annoyance.
So after the "misunderstanding" Kismet & Devereux do spend some quality time together and Kismet feels like she can trust the ancient Vampire but still has her doubts as to whether their strange relationship will stand the test of time and grow stronger, or will Vampire politics, and drama's come between them. Is Kismet getting too involved in all thing Vampire? Having a relationship with one, working with them, and socialising with them too.
So did I enjoy the novella? Yes, I was ready for a little more Kismet & Devereux!
Would I recommend the novella? Yes, though you don't have to read them for the books to make sense they are a great addition to the series. The novellas help pass the wait for the next book!
Would I read more books and or novellas of Kismet & Devereux? Yes please! I certainly intend to.
Would I read other books by Lynda Hilburn? I wuld certainly give other books by Lynda a read though I'm not sure if I could love other characters as much as I do Kismet & Devereux!

Smexy, scary fun

This is a novella set after Until Death Do Us Part. It gives an interesting look into Kismet and Devereux's evolving relationship. The psychological issues arising from her kidnapping are still with Kismet, but at Devereux's request, she moves deeper into the vampire world. After a practical joke by some of his "children" (kind of reminiscent of kids trying to scare off Daddy's date because they don't want a step-mom) she's left weighing how far she wants to go with vampires, both with her research and her relationship.

Devereux uses his unique charms to convince Kismet he can be trusted, leading to a great setup for Blood Therapy.

I love how Kismet has grown and how she doesn't hesitate to put the vamp in his place when he needs it. I'm looking forward to Crimson Psyche's release in 2015 to catch up with the pair.

Very Enjoyable!

I really like these characters and their world. So I want to read all I can get - Yes this is a short story but its very enjoyable, steamy and gives you more of an insight into the madness that Kismet Knight is dealing with trying to manage a relationship with a Master Vampire. If you are like me and are waiting for the third book to be released in the US ( which sadly will be sometime 2015 ) this story is a little extra taste till then

Perfect ending for Sebastian and Mia! Amazing story!

I was so excited to read The Road To Forgiveness! I loved The Road To Price, but my heart really hated the ending. This book truly was the perfect way to wrap up Mia and Sebastian's story.

Mia ran away from her problems with Sebastian, just like she ran away from facing the pain after Miles' death. Living in Georgia doesn't turn out quite like she was hoping for, and Mia still finds that she is blaming herself for the death of her son. As much as she wants to think that she would be able to give up the child growing inside her because it would be like betraying Miles, she comes to find that she feel attached to her baby.

Sebastian is just amazing. I love him so very much. He hasn't given up on Mia. He followed Mia to Georgia and has been visiting her mother for four weeks. He is desperate to find Mia and take her home.

When Sebastian and Mia finally come face to face again, Mia's heart knows what she needs to do. Despite Mia trying tell herself that she can leave Sebastian, her body and soul are bound to him. Sebastian will stop at nothing to prove to her that they are meant to be together.

What I love about Sebastian and Mia, is that they both worked so hard to try to make things work for them. Mia learns that she not only has to be able to forgive others for the pain that they may have caused her, but she has to have the strength to forgive herself.

The Road To Forgiveness was filled with the same intense sexual chemistry and tension that was in The Road To Price that will leave you fanning yourself and squirming. Justine Elvira can write some seriously hot scenes! I also loved the underlying message of love, trust, forgiveness and overcoming life's tragedies. Amazing story!

Sebastian is still the man

It's good to know Sebastian is still all for his woman, "hi... is that all you can say, hi? I've been so worried about you and all you can say is hi. Where the hell have you been? I've looked everywhere. I talked to your mom, pretty much everyone in your town, and no one knew where you were or if they did, they weren't telling me. And now I see you have been in the next town over this whole time." Sweet Jesus this man does things to my ovaries, "I'll talk to you tomorrow. While you are taking this last night to yourself, just remember how much I love you. I've never stopped." Sebastian is all cocky still, "when you know, you know. I know it's a girl." Sometimes I think he flaunts his wealth, "let's go celebrate. We have the yacht for the night, the staff is already on board, let's go."

Wonderful ending for Sebastian & Mia!

The Road To Forgiveness picks up just a couple weeks after the first book left us and Sebastian has been in Georgia looking for Mia after she just up and fled Miami without a word to him.

There is no doubt that Sebastian loves Mia and is willing to do anything it takes to get her back. He has made tremendous changes in his life since he has met her and since she has left he has been making arrangements to close the final chapter of that life by divorcing his wife Darcy. But when Sebastian finally finds Mia living in the next town over with her gay BFF Jonathon, and when the truth is revealed to him that Mia fled Miami because she is pregnant with his baby, guilt ridden and completely terrified, he becomes more determined than ever to make things right with her and get them all back to Miami as a family.

" He runs his hand through his hair and he looks exhausted...His blue eyes aren't as bright as usual and he looks like he's lost a good twenty pounds. Even with all the physical changes, he still looks as breathtaking as ever. I'm only in his presence for a few seconds and I'm already mesmerized by him."

In TRTP I had mixed feelings about Sebastian but in TRTF he was perfect! When the bomb was dropped about why Mia left I expected him to honestly go off the rocker, especially in the way that he found out- but surprisingly he didn't. What Sebastian decided to do was compromise when Mia said that she didn't know what she wanted to do, and I must say that I LOVED his way of compromising.

"I love compromising with you. I can't wait to show you how great at compromising I am. I always get my way in the end in case you didn't notice...My way is having you, in my bed, a ring on your finger and our baby in the next room. So you better start focusing on that because in the end that is our future"

Mia my heart broke for her in TRTP, finding out about what happened to her as a teenager and then about the tragic death of her son Miles was terrible. But I am so so happy that in TRTF we get to see Mia dealing with overcoming everything that plagues her about her past especially her guilt. I really, really loved watching her come full circle, with the help of her therapist, Charlie, and of course Sebastian and finally accept that she is worthy of love and that being happy is never going to be held against her. And her moment with Charlie when they both realized this together was just *sigh* ... I ♥ Charlie

"You have a wonderful man waiting on you, ready to start a life with you. He wants you and the baby. I find that to be a precious gift and it would break my heart to see you walk away from that"

Oh and you want to know about the steam factor in this book? Well it's through the freaking roof! Justine Elvira can write some wicked hot sex scenes! No really sometimes when you get a book that is lets say 'overly sexed up' I find that the scenes tend to sometimes be repetitive or in other cases overly done but neither was the case when it came to this book. Sebastian and Mia are simply sizzling, and can't keep their hands...or mouths off each other!

Overall I really enjoyed the conclusion of this series, The Road To Forgiveness for me was deep, yet completely satisfying, a well written story about acceptance, and forgiveness. There are times that you will be laughing uncontrollably (probably at something Jonathon said or did) but your heart strings will most definitely be pulled when it comes to Mia. I also feel like it's important to mention there are a couple of typos that I noticed, it wasn't anything overly drastic but I feel like it's important to put out there because for some that's a pet-peeve and I would hate for someone to pick this book up and and not give it the chance it deserves because they catch a few errors. You will laugh, cry, fall head over heels in love with swoon-worthy-dirty-talking Sebastian and you will get a super sweet Happily Ever After what more could you ask for! Grab your copy today!

More practical advice than guide

I'm not sure that "Guide" is the correct description for this book. It reads more like a narrative of the author's experiences, experiences of others in the industry, and history of the craft brewing industry. A very enjoyable read, but far from detailed enough or specific enough to be a primary reference for opening a brewery. It is, however, full of practical advice which the author shares from his personal experiences and/or examples from other breweries.

Unorganized and Not Well Thought Out

I am a big proponent of all the resources The Brewers Association provides and was hoping for that same level of publication and resources in this book. Unfortunately, this book is unorganized and not well thought out. I feel like it is a collection of a persons thoughts that were thrown into a book without actually thinking how the information should be presented.

I am currently past the business plan process and moving into raising money, so I have a good amount of experience. That being said, this book is backwards and does not outline the steps correctly. Don't waste your money. Your best resource is other local breweries that have gone through the process until a better book hits the market.

It's difficult to read, rambles and seems to never go into sufficient details. Almost as if the author is using flowery prose to hide from getting into hard specifics. Found very little of us.
